Remove & Install Rocker Arm Assemblies & Push Rods
Start By:a. remove valve cover assemblies 1. Put identification marks on the rocker arm assemblies as to their location in the engine.2. Remove bolts (1) and rocker arm assemblies (2).3. Remove push rods (3). Keep the push rods with their respective rocker arm assembly.
Exploded View Of Rocker Arm Assembly The following steps are for the installation of the rocker arm assemblies and push rods.4. Inspect all parts of the rocker arm assemblies for wear or damage. If any of the parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.5. Install push rods (3) in their original locations in the engine. Position rocker arm assemblies (2), and install bolts (1). Tighten the two bolts for each rocker arm assembly evenly to the standard torque.6. Check the fuel injector timing dimension and valve rocker arm clearances.
