Solenoids
When a direction and gear are selected by the operator or the control, the control sends a voltage to the appropriate solenoid outputs which energize transmission solenoids. The solenoid outputs are connector contacts 31 through 36.Parking Brake Alarm Relay
When a direction and gear are selected by the operator or the control and the parking brake is applied this relay activates the parking brake alarm.Switches
Switches provide information (input) to the control. Switches are two state devices. The two states are:* Closed - the switch closes a circuit to the control input.* Open - the switch opens a circuit to the control input.Parking Brake Switch
Shift LeverDuring normal operation, the shift lever senses the position of the speed and direction lever. This position is signalled to the control module by a unique code. There is a unique output from the shift lever for each speed and direction. This code tells the control module what speed and direction the operator has selected.Diagnostic Indicator
The diagnostic indicator shows diagnostic information for the control system. This indicator is found behind the door (9R9340) located in the lower portion of the right hand side console. Refer to the parts manual for the door location.Solenoids
Solenoids
(1) Solenoid. (2) Schematic symbol.The purpose of the solenoids is to turn on and off the oil flow to the clutches in the transmission. When a direction and gear are selected by the operator or the control, the control activates the appropriate solenoids. For movement of the machine two solenoids are activated; one for direction and one for gear. When activated, a solenoid receives voltage from the control. When in neutral no solenoids are activated.The solenoids have a connector with two contacts. One contact receives power from the corresponding connector contact (31 through 36) of the control. The other contact of all the solenoids join together and return to connector contact 39 of the control.Parking Brake Alarm Relay
The purpose of the parking brake alarm relay is to activate the alarm when a direction and gear are selected by the operator or the control and the parking brake is applied.Diagnostic Indicator Operation
Information is shown on the diagnostic indicator by flashing the indicator ON and OFF. The information flashed represents a two digit code number. There is a series of flashes that represent the first digit, followed by about a one second pause, then a series of flashes representing the second digit. Count the number of flashes to determine each digit. A pause of about three seconds separates each two digit code.This indicator is found behind the door (9R9340) located in the lower portion of the right hand side console. Refer to the parts manual for the door location.The control uses the diagnostic indicator in two different modes. The two modes are:* Normal Mode* Service ModeWhen power is applied, the control enters normal mode. Removing the machine identification plug from the harness code connector places the control in the service mode.
