The oil flows through tube (4) to an inlet at the side of input gear housing (3). The oil flows through passages (6) to a tube (5) attached inside the housing. Tube (5) has two holes that spray oil on the two gears as the gears mesh. The oil cools and lubricates the gears. Passages (6) in input gear housing (3) direct oil to the bearings of the input gears.Output Transfer Gear Lubrication
Passages (6) supply oil to tube (7) and Tee adapter (8). Tee adapter (8) directs oil to a passage to lube carrier ring and output shaft. Oil flows from Tee adapter (8) to tube (9) to Tee adapter (10). Tee adapter (10) directs oil to internal passages that direct oil to bearings for the output gears. Tube (11) directs oil to the outer bearing of the center idler gear.
