AIR COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY 9S3124 - Caterpillar

Before any air lines are disconnected, be sure the system pressure is zero.
1. Disconnect air hose (3) from the elbow.2. Loosen the nuts, and remove handles (1) from the levers.3. Remove five allen screws (4), and remove cover (2). 4. Remove clip assembly (5) and the wiring harness assembly connectors together. Separate connector (6) that holds the wiring harness assemblies together. Put identification marks on the wires for correct installation.5. Remove two screws (9), and disconnect the wires from warning lamp assembly (11).6. Disconnect lamp (7) from bracket (13).7. Remove nut (12), the washer and lamp assembly (11) from cover (2).8. Remove two nuts (8), bracket (13) and air pressure indicator (10) from cover (2).Install Air Pressure Gauge And Warning Light
1. Put air pressure indicator (8) in position in cover (1), and install bracket (7) and two nuts (4) that hold it in place.2. Put warning lamp assembly (5) in position in cover (1), and install the washer and nut (6) that hold it in place.3. Connect lamp (2) in bracket (7).4. Put the wires in position on warning lamp assembly (5), and install two screws (3) that hold them in place. 5. Connect connector (9) that holds the wiring harness assemblies together. Install clip assembly (10) that holds connector (9) together. 6. Put cover (1) in position, and install five allen screws (13) that hold it in place. Tighten the screws to a torque of 9 3 N m (80 27 lb.in.).7. Install handles (11) on the levers, and tighten the nuts that hold them.8. Connect air hose (12) to the elbow.
