In the Static Switch Cabinet on the clear covers that are over the static switch heat sinksThe following items that are associated with the heat sinks are electrically charged when the system is charged: heat sinks, the nuts, the bolts and mounting hardware. The hardware that is associated with mounting the clear cover to the heat sinks is electrically live at a hazardous voltage level. Contact may lead to severe injury or death. Power must be removed from this portion of the system prior to servicing these parts. While the power is on, caution should be taken in order to not contact the parts in this cabinet.

Inside the Flywheel Cabinet on the sheet metal behind the doorThe DC bus of this system can maintain a charge sufficient to cause a shock and energy hazard even when all external sources of power are removed. This hazard can cause serious injury or death. Perform the procedure for isolating and discharging the DC bus prior to servicing.

Inside of the Flywheel Cabinet to alert service personnel that there are two separate sources of power that are connected to this equipment.To safely service this cabinet, the AC and DC sources must be isolated separately. Failure to remove power from the equipment could cause serious injury or death. A disconnect switch is provided for AC and DC power. Service personnel should keep in mind the input side of these disconnect switches is still live.

Review the service manual for proper procedures for putting the equipment into the correct state for operating the isolation switch.
