1     9U-7400     Multitach Tool     1    The diode has been removed from the connector in the 273-9163 Chassis Harness. The diode was removed in order to alleviate potential engine overheating. The 273-9163 Chassis Harness has been replaced by 317-3342 Chassis Harness. 273-9163 Chassis Harness contained an internal diode. 317-3342 Chassis Harness does not use this diode. Installation of 317-3342 Chassis Harness will change the speed of the engine cooling fan on any machines which contained the diode prior to the change of the harness assembly.Check the engine cooling fan speed after installation of 317-3342 Chassis Harness. If necessary, recalibrate the speed of the engine cooling fan. Refer to Special Instruction, REHS3510, "Procedure to Remove the Diode From the Engine Cooling Fan Solenoid" for the proper calibration procedure.
