Certain 172-8660 Liquid Level Switches were madewithout an end cap at the rear of the connector. Switches with date codesof 309 (Sept 2003) to 402 (Feb 2004) are affected and need to be removedfrom dealer parts stock.ACTION REQUIRED
Remove all 172-8660 Switches from dealer partsstock with date codes of 309, 310, 311, 312, 401, and 402. These partsare further identified by a gray colored electrical connector.Note: Date code is marked on the barrel ofthe probe (Between the threaded portion and the float).Note: The Connector without an end cap is graywhile the correct connector is black.Note: These switches will be reworked by thesupplier.SERVICE CLAIM ALLOWANCES
Submit one claim for all 172-8660 Switches removedfrom parts stock.PARTS DISPOSITION
