Turn the fuel supply to the "OFF" position and turn the power disconnect switch to the OFF position.

Disconnect hose assemblies (2) and (4) .
Remove bolts (1) .
Remove fuel transfer pump (3) and the O-ring seal.

Remove nut (5). Remove bolts (7) and remove pump drive (6) .

Remove bolts (10) and retainers (11) that secure adapter (14) to bearing (12) .
Use Tooling (A) to remove retaining ring (13) .
Use Tooling (C) and a suitable press to remove assembled bearing (12) and gear (9) from adapter (14) .
Use Tooling (B) and a suitable press to remove bearing (8) from gear (9) .
Use Tooling (B) and a suitable press to remove bearing (12) from gear (9) .Installation Procedure
Install fuel transfer pump (3) in reverse order of removal.

Raise the temperature of bearing (8) and install the bearing onto gear (9) .
Raise the temperature of bearing (12) and install the bearing onto gear (9) .
Use Tooling (C) and a suitable press to install assembled bearing (8), bearing (12), and gear (9) into adapter (14) .
Turn the fuel supply to the "ON" position and turn the power disconnect switch to the ON position.
Remove the air from the fuel system. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Fuel System - Prime".
