Reports have been made of the 379-0803 Governor Motor As having an open circuit. The open circuit could lead to the inability to adjust the engine speed on the machines listed above.Solution
If the governor motor assembly fails, replace the failed part with a new 379-0803 Governor Motor As. Follow the adjusting procedure below.

(1) Engine start switch
(2) Engine speed control
(3) Power mode control

(4) Nut (tighten to 12 2 N m (106 18 lb in))
Turn the battery disconnect switch to the ON position.
Insert the key into the engine start switch (1) and start the engine.
Rotate the engine speed control (2) to the high idle position and open the power mode control (3).
Use a wrench to adjust the nut (4) and adjust the engine speed to the highest limit. Tighten the nut to a torque of 12 2 N m (106 18 lb in).
