Clean the Lift Pump Chamber
1. Open the front, engine and fuel tank access covers. 2. Close the fuel supply shutoff valve. 3. Remove the fuel lift pump cover and diaphragm.4. Clean the sediment chamber in clean nonflammable solvent.5. Check the condition of the diaphragm. Replace it if it is damaged or excessively worn.6. Install the diaphragm and cover. Tighten the bolt just enough to make a tight sealing joint.7. Clean the fuel filter element. See the next topic.8. Close the access covers.Clean the Filter Element
Change the filter when the engine shows a noticeable loss of power. Normally, the filter should be changed at least every 500 service hours. 1. Loosen the retainer bolt on top of the base.2. Remove the filter element and case from base.3. Clean filter and case in clean nonflammable solvent.4. Install filter to base with retainer and tighten bolt.5. Open the fuel supply shutoff valve.6. Clean
1. Open the fuel tank cap access cover 2. Remove the cap and strainer.3. Wash the cap and strainer in clean, nonflammable solvent.4. Install the strainer and fill cap.5. Close the access cover.Differential Cooling System
Test for Proper Operation
1. With the machine parked and the engine stopped, turn the ignition switch to ON. 2. Turn the motor speed selection switch to HIGH. The operator should be able to hear the pump operating. If the pump does not operate, investigate the cause. Do not operate the machine in the HIGH range until the cause has been corrected.
