May 2000 PRODUCT ADDITION: REMANUFACTURED 3176C/3196 CYLINDER HEADSCaterpillar announces two additional Reman Upgrade-to-New (new casting option) cylinder heads for 3176C and 3196 engines.

These upgrade-to-new heads are new casting offerings with new Caterpillar genuine exhaust valves, valve guides, seats, and other critical components.
All components are processed to tight Cat print dimensions and tolerances to ensure top performance.
Each head is leak tested for internal and assembly related leaks.
Reman cylinder head groups come fully assembled with valve guides, valves, springs, and hardware to provide a readily available, cost effective repair alternative.
Core Acceptance
Core acceptance criteria for Caterpillar remanufactured cylinder heads is simple, visual, and requires no special tools. See Core Acceptance Guideline SELD0018 for complete details. All 3176C and 3196 cylinder heads are acceptable cores for this offering.
