Start By:
Remove the transmission crankcase guard.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Park the machine on a hard, level surface. Engage the parking brake. Install Tooling (C) to prevent the machine from moving.
Install the steering frame lock. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Steering Frame Lock".

Position Tooling (B) to support the front frame as shown. Refer to Tool Operating Manual, NEHS1303 , "Lift Group (Stand - 25 Ton)" for more information on Tooling (B).

Position Tooling (A) under stabilizer rod (5). Use suitable chains to secure Tooling (A) to stabilizer rod (5). The weight of stabilizer rod (5) is approximately 50 kg (110 lb).
Remove bolts (4) and bolts (6) that secure stabilizer rod (5) to frame (2).
Remove stabilizer rod (5) from the machine.
Note the orientation of the mounting brackets on spherical bearings (1) and (3) in relationship to stabilizer rod (5) for installation purposes. Use a suitable press to remove the spherical bearings from the stabilizer rod.Installation Procedure

Use a suitable press to install spherical bearings (1) and (3) into stabilizer rod (5). The bolt holes in the mounting brackets on the spherical bearings must parallel the center line of the stabilizer rod.
Use Tooling (A) to position stabilizer rod (5). The weight of stabilizer rod (5) is approximately 50 kg (110 lb).
Install bolts (4) and (6) that connect stabilizer rod (5) to frame (2).Note: The distance between frame (2) and the mounting bracket may be too tight. Place suitable jack stands under the frame of the truck bed. Raise the frame to increase the distance between the frame and the mounting bracket.
