Removal Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Disconnect harness assembly (5) from engine oil pressure switch (4).
Use a suitable tool in Position (X) in order to prevent adapter (3) from turning as engine pressure switch (4) is removed.
Use a deep socket in order to remove engine pressure switch (4) from adapter (3).
If necessary, follow Step 2.a through Step 4.b in order to remove adapter (3).
Remove adapter (4) from oil line (1).
Remove washers (2). Installation Procedure

Ensure that the engine oil pressure switch is free from wear or damage. If the engine oil pressure switch is not free from wear or damage, replace the engine oil pressure switch.

If necessary, follow Step 2.a through Step 2.e in order to install adapter (3).
Ensure that adapter (3) and oil line (1) is free from wear or damage. Replace any component that is worn or damaged.
Position a new sealing washer (2) onto adapter (3).
Install adapter (3) into oil line (1) and position the remaining new sealing washer (2) between the oil line and the cylinder block.
Tighten adapter (3) hand tight.
Tighten adapter (3) to a torque of 11 N m (97 lb in). Ensure that the oil line is not strained as the adapter is tightened.
If an original engine oil pressure switch (4) is to be installed, apply a thin layer of Tooling (A) to the threads of engine oil pressure switch (4). Note: A new engine oil pressure switch is supplied with sealant already applied to the threads of the engine oil pressure switch.
Use a suitable tool in Position (X) in order to prevent adapter (3) from turning as engine pressure switch (4) is installed.
Use a deep socket in order to install engine pressure switch (4) from adapter (3).
Tighten engine pressure switch (4) to a torque of 11 N m (97 lb in). Ensure that the adapter does not turn as the engine pressure switch is tightened.
Connect harness assembly (5) to engine oil pressure switch (4).
