Removal Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Disconnect harness assembly (1) from engine oil pressure switch (2).
Use a deep socket in order to remove engine pressure switch (1) from valve mechanism cover (3). Installation Procedure

Ensure that the engine oil pressure switch is free from wear or damage. If the engine oil pressure switch is not free from wear or damage, replace the engine oil pressure switch.

If an original engine oil pressure switch (2) is to be installed, apply a thin layer of Tooling (A) to the threads of engine oil pressure switch (2). Note: A new engine oil pressure switch is supplied with sealant already applied to the threads of the engine oil pressure switch.
Use a deep socket in order to install engine pressure switch (2) from valve mechanism cover (3).
Tighten engine oil pressure switch (2) to a torque of 11 N m (97 lb in).
Connect harness assembly (1) to engine oil pressure switch (2).
