Description of Change: The 7E5888 Fuel Injection Pump Housing (used on 1991 engines) is service replacement for pre 1991 fuel injection pump housings on the above 3406B Engines. The 7E5888 Fuel Injection Pump Housing has a larger diameter camshaft bearing bore than the pre 1991 pump housings. Therefore, thicker bearings are required (to work with the smaller diameter pump camshaft) when using the 1991 pump housing to replace a pre 1991 pump housing.
Location of two 9J0114 Races and one 7D1189 Bearing (1), 4P0984 Front Cam Bearing (2), 4P0985 Center Cam Bearing (3), and 4P0986 Rear Cam Bearing (4) in the 7E5888 Housing.Adaptable To: The 7E5888 Fuel Injection Pump Housing, two 9J0114 Races and one 7D1189 Bearing (1), 4P0984 Front Cam Bearing (2), 4P0985 Center Cam Bearing (3), and 4P0986 Rear Cam Bearing (4) are service replacements for the fuel injection pump housings on the 3406B Engines identified in the chart.
