ALTERNATOR GP-CHARGING 1563871 - Caterpillar

1. Loosen the bolts and remove two clamps (3) and (4). Remove muffler (2) from the exhaust pipe.2. Loosen hose clamp (5), and remove hose (1) from the air cleaner housing. 3. Attach a lifting strap and hoist to hood (6). Remove eight bolts (7), and remove the hood from the machine. The weight of the hood is 50 kg (110 lb). 4. Disconnect two wires (8) from the light on each side of the guard. 5. Disconnect two wires (9) from the back-up alarm. Remove the cable wraps that fasten the wiring harness to the guard. 6. Attach lifting straps and hoist to guard (10). Remove six bolts (11) and the guard. The weight of the guard is 85 kg (187 lb). For installation of the engine enclosure, reverse the removal steps.
