Introduction
The problem that is identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.Problem
Certain D9T tractors have experienced interference between the rear return fuel 120-9317 Hose Assembly or 224-8926 Hose Assembly and the engine 231-1420 Engine Harness Assembly . The fuel hose is wrapped in 8C-5064 Flexible Conduit that usually causes failures to occur on the engine harness rather than the fuel hoses.Refer to Illustration 1, Illustration 2, and Illustration 3.

Illustration 2 g01411405
(A) Point of interference between the rear return fuel hose and the engine harness
Illustration 3 g01411415
(B) Improper clipping for the engine harnessSolution
Use the existing fuel 224-8926 Hose Assembly and repair or replace the 231-1420 Engine Harness Assembly until a permanent repair is defined. Make sure that the clipping and routing of the fuel hose does not interfere with the engine harness, the ECM, or the ground cable.

(C ) 65° 5°Note: When you adjust the hose to the correct angle, the tighter bend in the hose should be located to the rear of the hose clamp, and the wider bend of the hose should be located in front of the hose clamp. Refer to Illustration 4.
