Attach a suitable lifting device to boom cylinder (2) .
Remove bolts (3). Remove retainer plate (4), and shims (5) .

Use Tooling (B) and a suitable hammer in order to drive pin (6) out of boom cylinder (2). The weight of boom cylinder (2) is approximately 204 kg (450 lb). Lower boom cylinder (2) .
Repeat Step 1 through Step 4 for the remaining boom cylinder.

Remove bolts (7). Position condenser (8) out of the way.

Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force.Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.
Raise hood (9). Attach a suitable lifting device onto hood (9). Disconnect struts (10) .

Remove bolts (11) in order to remove hood (9) .

Disconnect hose assemblies (12). Disconnect hose assemblies (13). Disconnect hose assemblies (14) .

Disconnect harness assembly (15) .

Disconnect hose assemblies (16) from the back of the main control valve.

Remove clamp (17) and pull hose assemblies (16) away from the main control valve.

Install retainer plate (4) on the boom cylinder pin. Install bolts (3) .
Repeat Step 13 for the opposite side of the boom cylinder pin.
Attach a suitable lifting device onto boom (18). The weight range of boom (18) and the stick cylinder is approximately 1500 kg to 3000 kg (3300 lb to 6615 lb). Apply slight lifting tension to boom (18) .

Remove bolt (19) from pin assembly (20) .

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device onto pin assembly (20). The weight of Tooling (A) and pin assembly (20) is approximately 104 kg (230 lb). Use Tooling (A) in order to remove pin assembly (20). Remove shims (21) .
Remove boom (18). The weight range of boom (18) and the stick cylinder is approximately 1500 kg to 3000 kg (3300 lb to 6615 lb).
