Steering Frame Lock in the STORED Position (1) Steering frame lock.
Move steering frame lock (1) to the STORED position.
Run the engine at high idle. Move the tilt control lever to the TILT BACK position in order to increase the temperature of the oil to normal operating temperature. The oil is at normal operating temperature when the hydraulic oil temperature indicator is between the first mark and the second mark.
Park the machine on a surface that is hard, dry, and level.
Place the transmission selector lever in the NEUTRAL position.Note: The hydraulic controls should also be in the NEUTRAL position. The parking brake should be disengaged.
Articulate the machine to the left or to the right until the machine stops articulating.
Run the engine at high idle.Note: Start to measure steering time when you start to turn the steering wheel. Measure steering time until the machine stops articulating.
Articulate the machine in the opposite direction until the machine stops articulating. Steering time should be 2.7 0.5 seconds.Note: The difference between the left steering time and the right steering time should not be greater than 0.3 seconds.Note: The steering time at low idle should not be more than 5.7 0.5 seconds.
If the steering time is not within specifications, check the neutral pilot pressure.
