(1) Differential lock control switch
To prevent damage to the differential, do not engage the differential lock control at high speeds.Do not turn machine with differential lock engaged.Do not engage the differential lock control while one wheel is spinning. Decrease engine rpm until the wheel stops spinning. Anticipate using the differential lock before wheel slippage occurs. In areas of high resistance, it may be necessary to turn the machine slightly in order to aid in unlocking the differential lock. Decreasing the engine rpm may also be helpful.

(2) Solenoid valve (differential lock)
Personal injury or death can result from limited steering control.Engaging the differential lock when the machine is moving can limit steering control.Do not engage differential lock when machine is moving at high speed because steering control will be limited.
Solenoid valve (2) controls the supply of air to a quick release valve and the piston (5) in differential lock cylinder (3) .The differential lock is electric over air. The electric switch (1) is located near the base of the steering column. Solenoid valve (2) is located on the rear of the differential.

Differential (3) Differential lock cylinder (4) Jaw (5) Piston (6) JawThe air pressure will force piston (5) upward. This will move jaw (4) against jaw (6). When the pedal is released, the supply passage is closed. This allows air that is between solenoid valve (2) and the quick release valve to flow through the exhaust passage. Air pressure inside differential lock cylinder (3) will exit through the quick release valve.
