Locate the 276-1457 Bracket As (GPS Receiver) (1) on top of the ROPS.Note: The 276-1457 Bracket As is already mounted on the top of the ROPS. Ensure that the 291-1913 Satellite Receiver As (10) has an unobstructed view of the sky.
Remove the 276-1456 Cover As (13) from the 276-1457 Bracket As (1) by removing the four 6V-6317 Bolts and four 6V-5839 Washers . Save these parts.
Mount the 291-1913 Satellite Receiver As (10) onto the 276-1457 Bracket As (1). Use four 8T-4136 Bolts (11) and four 8T-4121 Washers (12) .Note: Tighten the bolts to standard Caterpillar specifications.
Reattach the 276-1456 Cover As (13) to the 276-1457 Bracket As (1). Use the bolts and the washers that were removed in Step 2.Note: Tighten the bolts to standard Caterpillar specifications.
Connect the receiver cable to the 291-1913 Satellite Receiver As (10) .Operator Display Installation

Bracket for mounting operator display (3) 239-0285 Bracket As (Display)
Locate the 239-0285 Bracket As (3) at the top front of the cab.
Connect the 70-pin connector of the Display harness to the 291-2199 Monitor Display Gp (16) .
Install the 291-2199 Monitor Display Gp (16) onto the 239-0285 Bracket As (3). Use four 8T-9364 Bolts and four 5P-4115 Washers .Machine Dimensions and Measure Up

Measure the machine GPS Receiver offsets referenced to the machines specific dimensions for setting the machine up in the office from METSmanager.Refer to the sample METSmanager screen shot, Illustration 8, as a reference guide and template to record the machine dimensions.Note: The "X" measurement that is taken to the right of the center line of the machine will be a positive number. The "X" measurement that is taken to the left of the center line of the machine will be a negative number.Note: The "Y" measurement that is taken in front of the front axle will be a positive number. The "Y" measurement that is taken behind the front axle will be a negative number.
GPS x: Measure the distance from the center of the GPS receiver (10) to the center of the machine.
GPS y: Measure the distance from the center of the GPS receiver (10) to the center of the front axle of the machine.

GPS z: Measure the distance from the top of the lower housing (17) of the GPS Receiver (10) to the bottom of the drums.Note: When the machine will be used on soft terrain, measure to the bottom of the drum. When the machine will be used on hard terrain, measure to the bottom of the tamper feet.
