Remove the secondary steering pump and electric motor.
Put identification marks across separation lines.

Remove two hose fittings (1) and the O-ring seals from pump assembly (2) . Remove two bolts (3) , the lock washers and gasket (4) from electric motor group (5) . Separate pump assembly (2) from electric motor group (5) .

Illustration 2 shows the location of the internal components. These components are nonserviceable except for the O-ring seals and plugs. Use the illustration as a reference when you are removing the components in steps 4 through 8.

Use caution. Plug (6) is spring loaded. Slowly remove the plug from the load sensor. Remove the O-ring seal from the plug.
