Installation Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily injury.To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure and wear protective equipment.

Install plunger (12), spring (11), seat (10), and retaining ring (9) into housing (13).

Install the engine oil bypass valve (8). Install bolt (7).
Install tube assembly (5) to engine oil bypass valve (8). Install bolt (6).
Install socket head bolts (4).

Install the oil suction screen and tube assembly (2). Install bolts (3) that hold the oil suction screen and tube assembly (2).
Install the nut and bolt (1) on the bracket. End By:
Install the engine oil pan. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Oil Pan - Remove and Install".
