Coupler in the curled position
Extend the bucket cylinder until the coupler is completely curled under the stick. Refer to Illustration 8.
Lower the coupler to the ground.
Route Hose Assembly (21) and Hose Assembly (22) upward in order for the hoses to follow the contour of the nose of the stick.
Secure Hose Assembly (21) and Hose Assembly (22) with Plate Assembly (7), Clamp (5) and Bolt (52). Refer to Illustration 4.Note: Do not tighten Clamps (5) until all of the modifications have been checked and completed.
Inspect the routing of Hose Assembly (21) and Hose Assembly (22) with the coupler in the curled position.Note: The hose assemblies should be close to the stick. Make sure that the hoses will not get trapped in the linkage during operation.Note: If necessary, use Cable Straps (6) in order to hold the hose assemblies together. This will help in preventing the hose assemblies from routing into the linkage during operation.
Start the host machine.
Lift the coupler off the ground. Retract the bucket cylinder until the coupler is in the rack back position. Lower the coupler to the ground.
Tighten Bolt (52) to a torque value of 33 8 N m (25 6 lb ft) in order to secure the hose assemblies to the stick.Note: All of the hoses should be routed loosely in order to determine the hose length. It will be necessary to remove the hoses from the host machine in order to cut the hoses to the proper length.
Crimp Permanent Coupling (25) onto one end of Hose Assembly (19) once the proper length has been determined. Crimp Permanent Coupling (26) onto one end of Hose Assembly (19) once the proper length has been determined.
Crimp Permanent Couplings (26) onto both end's of Hose Assembly (18) once the proper length has been determined.
Attach Hose Assembly (21) to Hose Assembly (19) with Permanent Coupling (25), O-ring seal (31) and Union (43). Attach Hose Assembly (22) to Hose Assembly (18) with Permanent Coupling (26), O-ring seal (39) and Union (44). Refer to Illustration 4.
Secure Hose Assembly (18) and Hose Assembly (19) with Plate Assemblies (7), Clamps (5) and Bolts (52). Refer to Illustration 4. Tighten Bolts (52) to a torque value of 33 8 N m (25 6 lb ft) in order to secure the hose assemblies to the stick.
Route Hose Assembly (18) to the supply line of the bucket cylinder. Attach Hose Assembly (18) to the supply line of the bucket cylinder with Clips (32), Clips (33), Clips (Half Slot) (34), Clips (Half Tab) (35), Grommets (36), Washers (54), Nuts (55) and Bolts (56).
