The possible causes of the dirty hydraulic filter error are listed below:
Dirty filter
Failed oil filter pressure switch
Broken electrical harness
Check WDS Oil Filter
Park the machine. Turn key start switch to the off position.
Ensure that the WDS oil temperature is above 65° C (149° F) when the code is recorded.
Remove the WDS oil filter.
Cut open the filter and inspect for metal debris.Expected Results: The WDS oil filter is clean.Results:OK - No contaminants were present in the WDS oil filter. Change the filter. Check error code. If error code is still present. Proceed to Step 2.Not OK - The filter contains excess metal debris. The hydraulic pump or motor has failed.Repair: Replace the WDS hydraulic pump, hydraulic motor, and charge pump. Flush the WDS hydraulic system.STOP.
Check WDS Oil Filter Switch and Harness
Park the machine. Turn key start switch to the off position. Do not start the machine.
Observe the error code on the MD3 display.Expected Result: No error code is displayed on the MD3 display.Results:OK - No error code is displayed. Possibly failed filter pressure switch. Repair: Change the oil filter pressure switch.STOP.Not OK - Error code present. Possibly broken harness or filter pressure switch.Repair: Check continuity and repair wire "R895" on the WDS cab harness and WDS chassis harness.Repair: Check error code again. If the error code is still present, change filter pressure switch.STOP.
