Information:

Illustration 11. Purge Equipment installed on the Pilot Test Port (H). Hydraulic Tank Fill Point (G).2. Check the valve on (28) is closed. Attach Assembly (26) (27) (28) (29) (23) (24) to pilot test port, at Hydraulic Control Valve. See Illustration 11. Refer to the appropriate Systems Operation Testing and Adjusting Hydraulic System, "Pilot Pressure Setting Check" if needed. Pilot test port may also be called pressure test fitting. The Pilot Test Port may be identified by the hose marked "PS2" toward the disconnect fitting. The fitting may need to be angled slightly to accept the disconnect. 3. Fasten the tubing (K) which goes to the horizontal brake reservoir fitting to the coupler assembly using a clamp.4. Attach a 6V-7830 Tetragage to position (J) as shown in Illustration 11.5. Start the machine's engine and allow the machine to idle.6. Open the 1S-8937 Needle Valve (28) until the 6V-7830 Tetragage indicates 138 35 kPa (20 5 psi). The brake is activated with as little as 69 kPa (10 psi) indicated on the gauge. The brake system will be purged in the following order:
a. brake cylinderb. right rear axle bleed screw c. left rear axle bleed screw d. right front axle bleed screw e. left front axle bleed screw 7. Attach the remaining length of clear tubing (N) to the brake cylinder bleed screw. Place the other end of the clear tubing in the hydraulic tank fill point. At least 250 mm (10 in) may be installed at the hydraulic fill point. Be sure to install the clear tubing so it does not move from the hydraulic fill point when under pressure. Excess oil should flow directly into the hydraulic tank fill point. Pink oil flowing through the bleed point's clear plastic tube denotes entrained air in the oil. Allow the oil to flow from the purge location until the oil in the clear plastic tube becomes red. After purging (bleeding) each location tighten the bleed screw and replace the cap. Move to the next bleed point. 10. Push in the brake pedal and hold down. Open the bleed screw to expel air entrapped in oil at the brake cylinder. Tighten the bleed screw and repeat if necessary.11. At each brake pack bleed screw, open the bleed screw and pump the brakes numerous times. It may take 50 or more pedal strokes to expel all the air from each axle bleed screw. There is no need to close the axle bleed screw after each pedal stroke as long as the hose remains connected to the bleed screw.12. Let the machine set for 15 to 20 minutes and perform step 11 again. Then proceed to step 13. 13. Remove the modified reservoir cap and all purge equipment. Check the Brake Oil Level. See the above procedure if necessary. Replace the original cap on the machine's brake reservoir. 14. Check the hydraulic oil level. replenish if necessary.15. Remove the boom locks or stand and lower boom.16. Verify brakes operate properly
