Raise the rod end of stick cylinder (4) until stick cylinder (4) is horizontal with pin (10).
Attach a suitable lifting device to the cap end of stick cylinder (4). The weight of stick cylinder (4) is approximately 73 kg (161 lb).
Remove bolt (9), nuts (11), and pin (10) .
Remove stick cylinder (4) .Disassembly and Assembly Information
Cylinders equipped with lock valves can remain pressurized for very long periods of time, even with the hoses removed.Failure to relieve pressure before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder can result in personal injury or death.Ensure all pressure is relieved before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder.

Use the following procedure for Disassembly and Assembly of the stick cylinder: (1) Lubricate the locknut and the threads before assembly. Tighten to a torque of 1800 90 N m (1328 66 lb ft). (2) Lubricate seals with clean grease. (3) The stop must have 0.50 0.26 mm (0.020 0.010 inch) of linear movement after assembly. (4) The outer diameter of the ring must not exceed 42 mm (1.7 inch) after assembly. (5) The slit in the ring must turn in the direction of the piston. (6) Drill to a Depth (X) of 17.5 0.50 mm (0.70 0.020 inch). (6) Apply Three Bond 1121 sealant to the hole before assembly. (7) Prior to drilling, tighten the cylinder head to a torque of 550 55 N m (406 41 lb ft). (8) Lubricate the seals with the lubricant that is being sealed. (9) Apply sealant to the wiper seal groove prior to assembly.Installation Procedure

Attach a suitable lifting device to both ends of stick cylinder (4). Position stick cylinder (4) onto the boom. The weight of stick cylinder (4) is approximately 73 kg (161 lb).
Apply Tooling (C) to pin (10). Install pin (10), bolt (9), and nuts (11) .

Lower the rod end of cylinder (4) until stick cylinder (4) runs parallel with the boom.
Apply Tooling (C) to pin (7). Position shims (5) and install pin (7). Adjust lateral clearance of shims (5) to a maximum distance of 1.00 mm (0.040 inch).
Install bolt (8) and install nuts (6). Remove any suitable slings and any suitable lifting devices.

Use the following procedure in order to tighten all the nuts:
Position the outside nut even with the end of the retaining bolt or 0.5 mm (0.02 inch) beyond the end of the retaining bolt.
Tighten the inside nut against the outside nut to a torque of 70 15 N m (50 10 lb ft).
