This Program must be administered as soon as possible. When reporting the repair, use "PI3991" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description Code. Exception: If the repair is done after failure, use "PI3991" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.

The 1129634 Supplemental Steer Valve on certain 824G Wheel Tractors and 980G Wheel Loaders has not met service life expectations. An improved 1445330 Ductile Iron Supplemental Steer Valve has been made available to replace the 1129634 Supplemental Steer Valve. If the 1129634 Valve fails, steering is not lost, but oil leakage will occur. It is necessary to replace the existing supplemental steering valve with a new 1445330 Valve.

1. Park the machine with it articulated fully to the right and the bucket on the ground.2. Empty at least 75% of the oil from the hydraulic tank.3. *Remove the guard group and insulation panel from the powertrain (when equipped)4. Remove the existing 1129634 Supplemental Steer Diverter Valve from the machine.5. Install a new 1445330 Valve.Tighten bolts to a torque of 55 10 N m (41 7 lb ft).6. Fill the hydraulic tank (Three to five additional liters may be required).7. *Install the powertrain guard and insulation panel, (if equipped). *For guard group, powertrain, and diverter valve location, reference the 980G Parts Manual.
