Removal Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Remove the oil lines (5) from the metering pump (4).
Remove the electrical harness (3) from the camshaft speed/timing sensor (2).
Loosen the nut (1). Remove the camshaft speed/timing sensor (2).
Rotate the engine in order to align the magnet with the hole in the camshaft cover.
Remove the metering pump (4). Remove the adapter (6).
Remove the magnet (not shown). Installation Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Rotate the engine in order to align the magnet's position with the hole in the camshaft cover.
Apply 4C-4030 Thread Lock Compound to the new magnet. Install the magnet.
Install the adapter (6). Ensure that the magnet is lined up with the hole in the camshaft cover.
Screw in the camshaft speed/timing sensor (2) until the sensor contacts the magnet. The sensor should then be loosened 3/4 turn.
Tighten the locknut (1) to a torque of 45 7 N m (33 5 lb ft).
Connect the electrical harness (3) to the camshaft speed/timing sensor (2).
Install the metering pump (4) and the oil lines (5).
