ALTERNATOR GP-CHARGING 3776862 - Caterpillar

1. Disconnect three hoses (2) from torque converter charging, scavenge and brake reaction pump (1). Remove the O-ring seals from the hoses.2. Remove tube (3) from the pump, and remove the O-ring seal from it. 3. The weight of the pump is 45 kg (100 lb.). Fasten a hoist to the pump as shown.4. Remove bolts (4) and the pump.Install Torque Converter Charging, Scavenge And Brake Reaction Pump
1. Fasten a hoist to torque converter charging, scavenge and brake reaction pump (1). Put the pump in position in the torque converter housing as shown, and install the bolts that hold it. 2. Put the O-ring seals in position in the ends of three hoses (2). Connect three hoses (2) to the pump.3. Put the O-ring seal in position in tube (3). START BY:a. remove torque converter charging, scavenge and brake reaction pump 1. Remove locknut (1) and the washer that hold gear (2) on the shaft. 2. Install tooling (A) as shown. Remove gear (2) from the shaft with tooling (A).3. Remove the key from the shaft. 4. Remove bolts (3) and cover (4).5. Remove the O-ring seal from the cover. 6. Remove two bearings (5) from cover (4) with tool (B). 7. Remove gears (6) and (7).8. Remove body (8) from body (9).9. Remove the four dowels from body (8).10. Remove the O-ring seal from body (9). 11. Remove the bolts that hold plate (10) in position. Remove plate (10).12. Remove the O-ring seal from plate (10). 13. Remove cover (11). Remove the O-ring seal from cover (11). 14. Remove two bearings (12) from cover (11) with tool (B). 15. Remove body (13) from body (9). Remove the four dowels from body (13).16. Remove the O-ring seal from body (9).17. Remove two gears (14) and the key. 18. Remove gear assemblies (15) and (16) from body (9). 19. Remove two bearings (17) from body (9) with tool (B).Assemble Torque Converter Charging, Scavenge and Brake Reaction Pump
Clean all parts thoroughly, and put clean SAE 10W oil on them. 1. Install two bearings (2) in body (1)
