Place the machine on level ground.
The bucket should be empty.
Fully extend the bucket cylinder and the stick cylinder.
Position the bucket on the ground. With a stopwatch, measure the time that is required to fully extend the boom cylinders.
Position the boom cylinders at full extension. With a stopwatch, measure the time that is required for the bucket to come in contact with the ground.
Refer to the specifications in Table 1 for the operating speed of the boom cylinders.
Perform the following steps in order to test the operating speed of the stick cylinder.

Fully extend the bucket cylinder.
Position the boom until the bucket is at least 1 m (3.3 ft) above the ground.
Retract the stick cylinder. With a stopwatch, measure the time that is required to fully extend the stick cylinder.
Extend the stick cylinder. With a stopwatch, measure the time that is required to fully retract the stick cylinder.
Refer to the specifications in Table 1 for the operating speed of the stick cylinder.
Perform the following steps in order to test the operating speed of the bucket cylinder.

Position the boom until the bucket is at least 1 m (3.3 ft) above the ground.
Fully extend the bottom dump cylinder.
With a stopwatch, measure the time that is required to fully retract the bottom dump cylinder.
Position the bottom dump cylinder at full retraction. With a stopwatch, measure the time that is required to fully extend the bottom dump cylinder.
Refer to the specifications in Table 1 for the operating speed of the bottom dump cylinder.
