Use Tooling (A) to support the weight of center arm (2). The weight of center arm (2) is approximately 181 kg (400 lb). Secure center arm (2) onto Tooling (A).
Remove bolts (3), plate (4), and pin (5). Remove shims (2A), lock (3A), and shims (3B).Note: Pin (5) can fall when bolts (3) are removed.Note: Bolts (3) are not reusable. Discard bolts (3).
Use Tooling (A) to remove center arm (2).

Use Tooling (B) in order to install bearing sleeve (7).Note: The top edge of the bearing sleeve will protrude above the frame when installed. A fabricated spacer that is at least 10 mm (0.40 inch) thick is necessary between the frame and the cylinder.

Use Tooling (A) to install center arm (2). The weight of center arm (2) is approximately 181 kg (400 lb).
Install pin (5). Install plate (4).
Install lock (3A) and new bolts (3).Note: Bolts (3) are not reusable. Install new bolts (3), only.
Check for vertical movement of center arm (2). Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Center Arm (Steering) - Adjust".
If vertical movement of center arm (2) is detected, center arm (2) must be shimmed. Use the following procedure to correctly shim center arm (2) to the support.
Ensure that center arm (2) is resting on the bottom of the support.
Insert as many shims (2A) that will fit between the top side of center arm (2) and the upper bearing sleeve in the frame.
Install shims (2A) in order to shim the gap between the top of center arm (2) and the support.
Use the following procedure to correctly shim center arm (2) to the pin.
Tighten bolts (3) to a torque of
