Fuel Line Installation Instructions
Fuel leaked or spilled onto hot surfaces or electrical components can cause a fire. Clean up fuel spills immediately.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Removal of Old Fuel Lines
Remove the mounting parts for the 272-6667 Tube As and 272-6666 Tube As .
After reviewing the warnings and notices listed above, remove the 272-6667 Tube As and 272-6666 Tube As .Installation Instructions

(1) 4K-6297 Elbow (2) 214-7568 O-Ring Seal (3) 388-2622 Hose and Tube As (4) 6V-6317 Bolt (5) 6V-5839 Washer (6) 325-6994 Clip (6) 325-6995 Clip (7) 3K-1787 Grommet
Install the new 388-2622 Hose and Tube As to the elbow and fuel filter base (8). Refer to Illustration 1.
Secure the hose and tube assembly to the engine with the provided clips, grommet, bolt, and washer.

Install the 388-2621 Hose and Tube As to the tee and the fuel filter base. Refer to Illustration 2
Attach the hose and tube assembly to the engine with the provided bracket, clips, grommet, bolts, and washers.
