A - Loctite™Nickel Anti-Seize -
Keep all parts free from contaminants.
Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.
Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat products.
Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Note: Repeat the procedure with each DEF injector.

Remove eight bolts (1) and remove two shields (2).

Loosen four clamps (5) and position two hoses (3) out of the way.
Remove strap (4), disconnect plug (7) and position out of the way.
Disconnect hose (6) and set out of the way.

Remove three bolts (8) and remove the DEF Injector (9).

Remove and replace gasket and seal (10).Installation Procedure
Install DEF injector in reverse order of removal.Note: To maintain cleanliness, the protective caps must remain in place until the final fluid connections are made.Note: Install gasket (10) with the steel side towards the catalyst.
Apply Tooling (A) to the bolt threads.
Tighten all bolts to 5 0.5 N m (44 4 lb in).
Retighten all bolts to 5 0.5 N m (44 4 lb in).
Turn each bolt an extra 90° 5°.
