The Swing pinion grease pan on all C-series Knuckleboom Loaders is not being filled at the factory prior to the machine being shipped. The grease is not filled in order to maintain machine cleanliness for the dealers. The current greasing schedule outlined in the OMM does not call out an initial fill for this pan. The dealer PDI check lists will be modified to call out this additional step.Solution
The swing pinion grease pan should be removed and filled with grease prior to the loader being placed into operation. Refer to the OMM for the recommended grease. All machines currently in operation should be checked during dealer visits to ensure that the grease pans are full.
