Read and understand the "Cooling System Specifications" section before servicing the machine.

The coolant conditioner element is located on the left side of the machine.

Close the inlet and outlet valves. Turn the valves clockwise in order to close.

Remove the coolant conditioner element. Discard the element.
Clean the filter mounting base. Ensure that all of the old element seal is removed.
Coat the seal for the coolant conditioner element with a thin film of clean engine oil.
Install the coolant conditioner element. Turn the element until the seal contacts the filter mounting base. Then, tighten the element by an additional 3/4 turn.
Open the inlet and outlet valves. Turn both the valves counterclockwise in order to open.

Remove the radiator coolant filler cap.
Start the engine and check for leaks.
Run the engine until the coolant level stabilizes.
If it is necessary to add coolant, bring the coolant level above the low level plate.
Install the radiator coolant filler cap.
