Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the chain. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Chain (Crown) - Remove and Install".

Remove bolt (1) and sprocket (2). If necessary, remove the bushing from the sprocket.
Remove bolts (3) and spacers (4) from the end of the shaft assembly (5) .

Remove bolts (6) and bar (7). If necessary, remove the bearing from the bar (7) and the screed frame.
Remove shaft assembly (5) from the screed.
Remove trunnion (8) and yoke (9) from the shaft assembly (5).
Remove the bolts (10) in order to remove the trunnion (8) from the yoke (9) .
Remove the locknut, the bearing, and the bearing block from the sprocket end of the shaft assembly (5). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Thickness Control - Disassemble" for similar photos.Installation Procedure

Install the locknut, the bearing and the bearing block on the sprocket end of the shaft assembly (5). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Thickness Control - Assemble" for similar photos.
Apply Tooling (A) to bolts (10). Install bolts (10) .
Install trunnion (8) and yoke (9) on shaft assembly (5) .
Install shaft assembly (5) on the screed.
Install bolts (6) and bar (7). If necessary, install the bearing in the bar (7) .

Install bolts (3) and spacers (4) on the end of the shaft assembly (5) .
Install bolt (1) and sprocket (2). If necessary, install the bushing in the sprocket.End By: Install the chain. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Chain (Crown) - Remove and Install".
