The two-pin connector on the new 213-9100 Backup Alarm is polarity sensitive. Pin 1 of the two-pin connector (red wire) must be connected to B+ (9 to 32 VDC). Pin 2 of the two-pin connector (black wire) must be connected to Ground.The 213-9100 Backup Alarm will not operate if these connections are reversed. There is a label located on the bottom of the alarm that identifies the correct electrical connections.
