ALTERNATOR GP 5525855 - Caterpillar

1. Drain fuel tank. 2. Remove two bolts to remove clamp (1). Shut off two valves and disconnect them on the fuel tank side (2). 3. Remove step (3). remove four bolts (5) and move valve (4) away from fuel tank. Disconnect rod (7), remove four bolts (6) to remove grating. 4. Disconnect hose (8) at fuel tank. Disconnect wire (9). Remove four bolts (10) and move pump away from fuel tank. 5. Remove four bolts (11) from bottom of fuel tank. 6. Attach tool (A) and remove fuel tank. The weight of the empty fuel tank is 216 kg (475 lb). The following steps are to install the fuel tank.7. Position fuel tank and install four bolts (11).8. Connect hose (8) at fuel tank. Connect wire (9). Install four bolts (10) to connect pump to the fuel tank.9. Install four bolts (5) and mount valve (4) to fuel tank. Install four bolts (6) and rod (7) to mount grating to fuel tank. Replace step (3).10. Connect two valves (2) to fuel tank. Install two bolts and clamp (1) to bracket.11. Fill fuel tank with clean fuel.
