ALTERNATOR AS 5525958 - Caterpillar

1. Remove two bolts (4) and flap (3). Remove ten bolts (1) and panel (2). 2. Tag and disconnect two wires (7) and six hydraulic lines (6). Remove four bolts (5) and remove valve. The following steps are to install the L.H. pilot control valve.3. Position valve and secure with four bolts (5). Connect six hydraulic lines (6) and two wires (7).4. Position panel (2) and install ten bolts (1). Install flap (3) with two bolts (4).Disassembly And Assembly R.H. and L.H. Pilot Control Valve
Start By:a. remove R.H. or L.H. pilot control valve 1. Remove four bolts (2) and half of handle (1). 2. Mark and disconnect two wires (6). Remove switch (5), lever (4) and roller (3). 3. Remove tubing (8), wires (7), nut (9) and actuator (10). 4. Remove knuckle (11) and plate (12). 5. Remove center plug (13) and six hydraulic connectors (14). 6. Remove two "O"-ring seals (15) and (16). 7. Remove collar (17), plunger (18), spring (19), pin (20), two retaining clips (21), collar (22), spring (23), plunger (24) and spring (25) out of valve (26). Typical four places. The following steps are to assemble the R.H. or L.H. pilot control valve.8. Assemble collar (17), plunger (18), spring (19), pin (20), two retaining clips (21), collar (22), spring (23), plunger (24) and spring (25) into valve (26). Typical four places.9. Install two "O"-ring seals (15) and (16).10. Install center plug (13) and six hydraulic connectors (14).11. Install knuckle (11) and plate (12).12. Install actuator (10), nut (9), tubing (8) and wires (7).13. Install switch (5), lever (4) and roller (3). Connect two wires (6).14.
