Information:

Raise the Rotor Service Door
The moldboard works together with the rotor service door to allow for inspection and maintenance of the rotor housing, rotor, cutting bits, holders, and kicker paddles.
Install the rear service support legs.
Check that all the controls/switches are in the OFF position.

Turn the engine start switch key (1) to ON.
Climb down from the machine.

Turn ON the remote start switch (2) at the left rear ground control panel.
Turn remote engine start switch (2) to the START position. Release the switch when the engine starts.Note: To start the engine from the left rear ground control panel, the engine start switch (1) on the operator console must be in the ON position.
Hold up moldboard control switch (3) until the rotor service door opens completely. Indicator (4) will blink when the moldboard is fully raised.

Remove the retaining pin from the rotor service door latch (5) and rotate the latch down completely into the hook on the rotor service door. Back-seat the latch (5) into the hook by pushing down on the moldboard control switch until the latch is tightly secured into the hook.
Be sure the moldboard door support hook is supporting the moldboard door before entering the rotor housing. Crushing or cutting hazard. Personal injury or death could result.

Push the Rotor Service Brake Release Switch (6) UP and release the switch. The switch is spring loaded and will return to the OFF position. The indicator (7) will be illuminated. The Rotor Service Brake will release and the Engine will shut down at the same time.Note: The Rotor Service Brake Release Switch is located at the left rear top corner of the rotor housing.
Working from the back, turn the rotor by hand and check the bits. Also, check the kicker paddles for tightness. Check all parts for wear.Lower the Rotor Service Door

Turn the remote engine start switch (1) to the START position. Release the switch when the engine starts.

Raise the rotor service door until the door is fully open and disengaged from rotor service door latch (5) .
Rotate the rotor service door latch back and up. Secure the latch by inserting the retaining pin into the latch and latch mount.
Push the moldboard control switch (2) to the float position. The rotor service door will swing down and the moldboard will continue to lower into the operate position.Note: Moldboard pressure down switch (4) can be held in the down position to speed up the process of lowering the moldboard.
Secure the Service Support Leg Locks back up into the stowed position.
Turn the engine start switch (1) to OFF.
Climb up onto the top operator station and turn ON the electric circuits enable switch.
Resume milling operation.
