Description of Change: A new service group is now available. This service group will enhance the operation of the park brake light. Previously the park brake light may have remained on unnecessarily.Adaptable To: The park brake light may remain on when the 160-6567 Unprogrammed Electronic Control Module and 215-6762 Monitor Software Gp are installed as service replacements for 100-5778 Monitor Electronic Control Module on certain machines.The machines listed do not have a connector for Caterpillar Electronic Technician (ET), so it is not possible to flash software in to the 160-6567 Unprogrammed Electronic Control Module as installed on the machine. The new service group 262-2963 has the software preflashed. The new service group 262-2963 is a direct replacement for the 100-5778 Monitor Electronic Control Module.
