START BY:a) remove ejector guide rollers (lower) The procedure which follows was done on the 651E.1. Put the machine on level ground and lower the bowl and apron. 2. Use the machine's hydraulics to fully extend the ejector. Put tooling (A) or (B) in position as shown to support ejector cylinder(s) (1) when the cylinder rod(s) are disconnected from the ejector. 3. Fasten a chain and a hoist to ejector (2) as shown.4. Install a 1"-8 NC forged eyebolt (5) and a hoist on cylinder rod (3) (651E only). Use nylon straps and hoists on the cylinder rods (657E only). This will support cylinder rod (3) when it is disconnected from the ejector. Remove the bolts, retainers (4) and the pins.5. Use the machine's hydraulics to retract rods (3) into the ejector cylinders. 6. Fasten tool (C) or (D), nylon strap (6) and the hoist on the rear of the ejector as shown. This will balance the rear of the ejector when it is removed from the scraper. 7. Use the hoist and move ejector (2) forward (toward the tractor) so lower rear rollers (8) are free of the guide tracks and the notches in the ejector are free of guide rails (7). Carefully lift and remove ejector (2) from the scraper. The weight of the ejector is 2250 kg (4960 lb.).Install Ejector
The procedure which follows was done on the 651E. 1. Fasten tool (A) or (B), a chain and a hoist on ejector (2). Carefully lower ejector (2) into the scraper. Make sure notches (1) are between the end of guide rails (3) and the caps for the apron. 2. Use the hoist to move the ejector to the rear of the scraper. Make sure lower rear ejector rollers (5) are put in position in guide tracks (4) and the notches in the ejector are in position in the guide rails. 3. Use the machine's hydraulics to move cylinder rod(s) (7) out of the ejector cylinder(s). If necessary, use a 1"-8 NC forged eyebolt (6) and a hoist to make an alignment of the cylinder rod to ejector (2) (651E only). If necessary, use nylon straps and hoists to make an alignment of the cylinder rods to the ejector (657E only). Install the pin(s), the retainer(s) and the bolts that hold the cylinder rod(s) to the ejector. Remove tool (A) or (B), the chain and the hoist from the ejector. 4. Remove tooling (C) or (D) from under the ejector cylinder(s).5.
