Installation Procedure
Check all of the O-ring seals and the components for wear or damage. Replace the components, if necessary.
Lubricate all of the O-ring seals lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.

Install O-ring seal (5) onto steering piston pump (1).

Position a suitable lifting sling around steering piston pump (1), as shown. Secure the lifting sling to a suitable hoist.
Install the spline coupling. Position steering piston pump (1), as shown. Install two bolts (4) and the washers. The weight of steering piston pump (1) is 33 kg (73 lb).

Connect two hose assemblies (3) to steering piston pump (1).

Connect two hose assemblies (2) to steering piston pump (1).
Fill the steering hydraulic tank. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU7092, "Steering System Oil - Change".
Adjust the pressure of the steering piston pump. Refer to Steering System, Testing and Adjusting, SENR1553, "Piston Pump (Steering) Pressure - Test and Adjust".
Adjust the pressure of the primary steering backup relief valve. Refer to Steering System, Testing and Adjusting, SENR1553, "Relief Valve (Primary Steering Backup) - Test and Adjust". End By:
Remove the retaining ring and pin (body). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Retaining Ring and Pin (Body) - Remove and Install".
