Information:

1. Start the machine, and position the bucket, stick and rod links in the position as shown.
When pin assembly (2) is removed, link assembly (1) will swing forward and out of the bucket. To prevent possible personal injury, do not stand in front of link assembly (1) when pin assembly (2) is removed.
2. Remove pin assembly retaining bolt (3) and the two washer.3. Remove pin assembly (2) from the bucket and link assembly.4. With the link assembly out of the bucket, remove the two O-ring seals from the flanges on bucket (4). 5. Fasten a lifting sling and a hoist to link assembly (1). Raise the link assembly as shown. Remove pin assembly retaining bolt (6) and the two washer. Remove pin assembly (7). Remove link assembly (1). The weight of the link assembly is 29 kg (65 lb). 6. Fasten a lifting sling and a hoist to the rod end of bucket cylinder (10). Place a wood block under the link assembly (11) as shown. Remove pin assembly retaining bolt (9) and the two washers. Remove pin assembly (8). Lower the rod end of the bucket cylinder onto the wood block. Machines may be equipped with shims between the bucket cylinder and the bucket linkage group at the pin bore. For assembly purposes, put identification marks on the shims as to their location.7. Remove the shims at the bucket cylinder-to-bucket linkage group pin bore. 8. Refasten the lifting sling and the hoist to link assembly (11). Raise the link assembly as shown. Remove pin assembly retaining bolt (12) and the two washers. Remove pin assembly (13). Remove link assembly (11) from the stick. The weight of the link assembly is 41 kg (90 lb). 9. Remove six lip seals (14) and three bearings (15) from link assembly (1). 10. Remove two lip seals (16) and two bearings (17) from the stick at the stick-to-bucket linkage pin bore. The following steps are for the installation of the bucket linkage group.11. Make sure the stick pin bore, link assembly bores, pin assemblies and O-ring seals are thoroughly clean prior to installation of the bucket linkage group. 12. Lower the temperature of two bearings (17). Using Tool (A), install a bearing in each side of the stick at the stick-to-bucket linkage pin bore. Install the bearings until each one is 7.5 0.5 mm (.30 .02 in) below the outside surface of the stick.13. Using Tool (A), install two lip seals (16) in the stick at the stick-to-bucket linkage pin bore. Install the seals until they make contact with the bearings and with the sealing lips facing out.14. Apply 5P-0960 Multipurpose Grease on the bearings and lip seals. 15. Lower the temperature of three bearings (15). Using Tool (A), install the bearings in link
