Problem
The 12 volt starter may not engage, and/or the solenoid may have an intermittent click on certain 3208 Marine Engines. This is normally the result of the contacts in the solenoid becoming burnt from the arcing which occurs during starting.

1 - 0R2188 Motor Group-Electric Starting* * If a 0R2188 Motor Group-Electric Starting is not available, order a 3T2648 Motor Group-Electric Starting.
Action Required
Remove the existing starter from the engine and install a new 0R2188 Motor Group-Electric Starting.
