2. Check for a potential interference between the 324-0687 Main Harness Cable (power cables) and the 323-8359 Breaker Panel Group (relay box panel). The area to check is the left side edge, at the entrance of the breaker panel. See the area circled in the image below for location of potential interference. Note: the seal on the edge of the breaker panel will not be on the machine, this picture is just for illustration purposes.

3. If the electrical wires at the exit of the braiding are damaged, contact your Caterpillar Dealerships Technical Communicator and submit this information to the DSN in order to obtain the information that is necessary to complete any repairs, making sure to reference this Service Letter number in the Service Request. Take digital photographs of any damage found and attach to the DSN Service Request.
If the electrical wires at the exit of the braiding are not damaged and braiding extends through the panel wall, no rework is necessary, proceed to step 14.
If the electrical wires at the exit of the braiding are damaged or braiding does not extend through the panel wall, the rework is necessary, proceed to step 4.

4. Remove all of the wire connections from the 324-0688 Circuit Breaker Panel.

5. Remove the 149-2612 Motor Reversing Relay.

6. Remove the 323-8362 Guard and the 5 7K-1181 Straps.

7. Perform the cut on the 323-8359 Panel Assembly at the bottom left of the panel, referring to following image. Remove 10 mm, deburr the cut area, and repaint.

8. Install the 323-8359 Panel Assembly.
9. Insert the harness inside the panel, connect the 101 RD cable terminals, and adjust the harness braiding into the box.

10. Install the 7K-1181 Straps (2 straps). Refer to the image below.

11. Connect all remaining cables to the 324-0688 Circuit Breaker Panel Group and check for interferences.
12. Install the 7K-1181 Straps (3 straps). Refer to following image.

13. Install the 323-8362 Guard.
14. Install the 323-8354 Panel Assembly.
