Reports have been received that the oil may leak from the hydraulic connections on the machines listed above. This oil leakage may occur due to the insufficient tightening torque or incorrect setting of the parts in the machine.Solution
In the event of failure, retighten the loose connections with the new 6V-8398 O-Ring Seals.In addition to the parts, collect the following information before repairing the leakages:
Photos of the leakages (locations/parts/group)
Connector loosened or not (easy to retighten by hand or not)
Seal damaged or not
(If it is available) Color of the tightening marker paint on the connectors/elbowsIf the machine is in claim period, report the leakage information via Claims-I.Create a GDSN Product Health Service Request (SR) with priority of "Product Inquiry / Informational". Add any pertinent photos and detailed failure information for the product group. Mention the CPI number #403607 in the CPI field (and /or) mention the TIB media number in the description or title (searchable fields). Then close the service request at the dealership without submitting to Caterpillar. This SR will alert the CPI Team that you have documented this failure in PSCRM.
