Removal Procedure

Push cover (1) toward the rear window while you are lifting cover (1) off mounting clips (2). Remove cover (1) and the filter (not shown).

Mark the location of capillary tube (3) in the evaporator coil. Remove tie strap (4) that secures capillary tube (3) in place. Carefully pull capillary tube (3) out of the evaporator coil. Position the capillary tube out of the way.

Loosen two setscrews (6). Remove thermostat control (5) from the panel.

Remove four screws (7) that secure the plate (8). Remove nut (9) that secures the thermostat to console panel (8) .

Mark two wires (10) for identification purposes. Disconnect wires (10) from the thermostat.
Carefully remove capillary tube (3) and the thermostat from the machine.Installation Procedure

Note: Install the capillary tube in the same location.
Carefully install capillary tube (3) and the thermostat in the machine.
Connect wires (10) to the thermostat.

Install nut (9) that secures the thermostat to console panel (8). Put console panel (8) in position. Install four screws (7) that hold console panel (8) in place.

Install thermostat control (5) on the panel. Tighten two setscrews (6) .

Note: The capillary tube must be installed in the same location.
Carefully pull capillary tube (3) into the evaporator coil. Install tie strap (4) that secures capillary tube (3) in place.

Install the filter (not shown). Install cover (1) on mounting clips (2). Push cover (1) away from the rear window.
