The joystick on the 414E Backhoe Loader (Industrial Loader) can have malfunctions which are due to moisture. The moisture can be due to rain or due to washing the machine. The moisture can enter the joystick at the top near the grip and/or at the base. Solution
Protect the joystick from moisture in order to avoid malfunctions which relate moisture. You can protect the joystick by covering the joystick with plastic during rain or washing of the machine. Also, you can avoid spraying the joystick directly with high pressure spray. Note: The solutions are temporary in order to help minimize malfunctions of the joystick until a permanent solution is identified.
